A joint presentation with artist Bo Choy on how migration between mainland China, Hong Kong and ‘the West’ has been entangled with internationalism, identity politics and globalisation. Nie spoke on ‘Long March: A Walking Visual Display’ (2002) as a curatorial call for an assembly of disparate participants in response to the phenomenon of ‘Chinese contemporary art’; Choy on the different ‘end times’ Hong Kong has lived through. Curator Hou Hanru responded to both.
